Get to know more about the very beggining of our company until today.
The founder of Tradingtimber has 24 years of experience in the wood and forest products sector. His career began as a responsible person in a production unit, for the manufacture of floorboards and the production of decks, and soon afterwards he started to search for possible production companies in Europe. After this process, started the financing in production units. Currently, we present a wide range of products from Brazil, such as: ipê, cumarú, itaúba, massaranduba, garapa, among others.
After investing in the Brazilian market, 2013 became the most critical year for Brazil. This was a year in which prices rose sharply and the consumption of these woods fell sharply around the world. That is how Tradingtimber decided to go ahead and invest in the African market and its woods. In addition to the wood from Brazil, Tradingtimber could now start supplying African wood, such as: iroko, okoumé, sapelly, sipo, iatandza, among others.
The target audience was initially focused on Southern Europe, but there was the need to expand our client portfolio and that is how we were able to gradually launch Tradingtimber to the rest of Europe and more recently to North Africa . We are currently present in the following markets: Ocidental Europe, Central Europe, Eastern Europe and North of Africa. The objective will always be to reach new markets so that we can expand our client portfolio.
In 2019, in addition to tropical wood, we realized that our customers were looking for wood from Europe and that is why we decided to go ahead and start supplying, together with European production units, wood from Europe, like this we are able to meet the requests for tropical wood and European wood that our customers look for.
